Honda's Helping Hand: The Brand's Response To Hurricane Helene

The fall season may be spooky season but the communities in North Carolina have experienced some recent horrors from the effects of hurricane season. Barbour Hendrick Honda and the Honda brand are not unaware of the devastation that has occurred from storms such as Hurricane Helene. While we work tirelessly week after week to sell Honda sedans, SUVs, and pickup trucks that fit your lifestyle, the numbers we truly care about are how many smiles we can create for our Greenville customers. In the past few weeks that number has dwindled due to the effects of Hurricane Helene, but Honda will not settle to offer customers less. You have trusted our Japanese brand for 8 decades to create dependable models, and to honor the community we have created around the country, Honda has taken steps to take care of communities in North Carolina affected by the recent hurricane.

Donating Generously

Honda has given disaster relief funds to the American Red Cross for $500,000. This funding will enable the Red Cross to help those communities in North Carolina recovering from Hurricane Helene. While Honda believes in ” joys and excitement with customers and communities around the world,” it is difficult to build on joy if you do not also share the burdens of the communities in which you are a part. This donation to the American Red Cross corresponds to Honda’s value of respecting the individual by caring for the collective community of individuals affected by this natural disaster.

A Part of the Recovery Process

Honda has done more than just throw money at the problem. The brand has taken steps to get on the ground and more importantly in the air by donating the use of its HondaJet. The HondaJet is being used to bring relief to the affected communities, delivering needed supplies and aid.

Engaging with the Community

Honda is not the only one who has given. Many across this country have stepped up to give towards relief funds and programs, and this includes Honda associates themselves. In fact, the brand is encouraging its employees to give by matching donations dollar-for-dollar, exceeding up to $1,000. Additionally, Honda is aiding Honda customers affected by the hurricane by offering lease deferrals and payment extensions.

Barbour Hendrick Honda is proud to carry the Honda name and be a part of the persevering communities around North Carolina.
