Ring in the New Year with First Night Raleigh

First Night Raleigh

First Night Raleigh isn’t your normal New Year’s Eve event. Instead of focusing on partying, it’s all about celebration, community, the arts, and the New Year. It only costs $10 to get in, and that gives you access to all of the performances, activities, and events that take place from 2 p.m. until midnight.

Check out some reasons that First Night Raleigh is the festival to end all festivals.

Alcohol-Free and Family-Friendly

Alcohol and New Year’s Eve seem to go hand in hand, and that’s a real problem for people who don’t want to be around alcohol. In fact, it can seem almost impossible to find a family-friendly New Year’s Eve event that everyone can enjoy. That’s what makes First Night Raleigh so special. Alcohol isn’t allowed at the event, so the entire family can have fun in an alcohol-free and safe environment.

So Many Performances

First Night Raleigh uses 35 venues, and each one hosts performances. In all, there will be close to 100 performances during First Night Raleigh. In the past, there’s been everything from a fiddling poet to an African American dance ensemble. Last year also had ballroom dancing, blues, jazz, comedy, and more. Stay tuned for the updated schedule so you’ll know what will be there this year.

Here’s the best part: You don’t have to buy tickets to the different performances. Just show up and take it all in. It’s first come, first served at the performances, so it is a good idea to get there a bit early if there is something you really want to see. That way, you can get good seats.

The Raleigh Acorn

When you attend First Night Raleigh, you get a front-row seat to watch the Raleigh Acorn Drop. You’ll be right there with local media and celebrities while the countdown brings you closer and closer to midnight. You will enjoy this as much as the kids.

You want to ring the new year in with a flair, but going to First Night Raleigh isn’t enough; you also need to arrive to the event in a vehicle you love. That’s where Barbour Hendrick Honda in Greenville, North Carolina, can help. See us before you go to the event and we will help you find a ride that fits your personal style. Then, your wheels will look as great as you feel when you pull up at First Night Raleigh.
