Burk Uzzle
Burk Uzzle was born in North Carolina and being a product of his state, he understands the life and struggle of small towns and people. He started his career with LIFE magazine at the age of 23. Burk focused on documentary photography and was the youngest photographer hired by LIFE. He now works as an independent photographer.
His new exhibit titled “Perceptions and Recognitions” is a collection of 25 original pictures showing life and the residents of Eastern North Carolina. Burk’s work is designed to offer individuals, families, and organizations a way to connect to their neighbors, whether familiar or unknown. His work is all about bringing us closer to one another, and learning that we are all the same. You will walk away from this collection of pictures with newly developed feelings and understanding, and may even discover something that will change your way of thinking. Come and experience this wonderful work of art now – April 30th, at the West Wing Gallery.
