City Art Gallery is a fine arts gallery located in Lynndale Shoppes featuring works from established regional/national artists and craftspeople. This gallery, located on ECU’s campus, provides educational programming for students and the community through exhibitions, symposia, and lectures by visiting artists and curators. The Gray gallery maintains a collection of western and central African art, Baltic ceramics, the Dwight M. Holland collection, and a suite of Larry Rivers prints. Hobby Horse – 811 Dickinson Avenue Greenville, NC 27834
This unique gallery features the work of Jonathan Bowling and his collection of steel horses. These sculptures are often made with materials from the turn of the century and designed to occupy outdoor space without the need of maintenance. The popularity of the horses has led Jonathan to develop other animal sculptures forged in the same fashion including giraffes, elephants, camels, cattle, and donkeys.
