Asking which Hondas seat the whole family is a tricky question, as families vary in size. That said, nearly every single Honda will have seating for five passengers, making them spacious enough for the average family with two or three kids. However, if you need an extra row of seats so your children can spread out a bit, you have more kids than this, or you want extra space for carpooling, you will want a Honda with three rows of seats. There are two great options for this.
The Honda Odyssey
Depending on how you choose to configure it, the Honda Odyssey will have seating for seven or eight passengers. That should be more than enough for nearly any family in North Carolina, including a cousin or two. The first row always seats two people while the third row always seats three in a 60/40 split and folding seat. The second row of the Odyssey can have two captain’s chairs or a split and folding bench seat with room for three. Seating in the Odyssey is always comfortable with 8-way power for the driver and 4-way power for the front passenger. The available second-row bench seat is multi-adjustable. You can also configure the Odyssey to have heating and leather on the front seats, along with the outboard second-row seats.
The Honda Pilot
The Honda Pilot has a similar seating setup to the Odyssey. The first row always seats two, the third row always holds three, and the second row has room for two or three. For the Pilot, nearly every trim seats eight passengers, although the top trim has captain’s chairs and seating for seven. The Pilot also offers 8-way power adjustment for the driver with 2-way power lumbar. In addition, it offers leather upholstery, heated front seats, and even heated second-row captain’s chairs.
The best way to get an idea of whether your entire family can fit inside a certain Honda is to see it in person. Visit Barbour Hendrick Honda in Greenville, North Carolina, to see the Odyssey, Pilot, and other family-friendly Hondas in person.
