Believe it or not, it has been 10 years since the Honda Fit first became available in the United States. During the past decade, the Fit has earned numerous awards and accolades and reached its third generation.
Honda Fit Updates
For its new 2017 model, the Fit starts at $15,990**. It has the refinement, fun, and functionality Greenville drivers have come to expect from this versatile hatchback. The previous Alabaster Silver Metallic exterior color has also been replaced by Lunar Silver Metallic.
Perfectly Versatile Fit
The 2017 Fit remains as versatile as ever after a decade of developments. It has class-leading versatility, cargo volume, and passenger volume. In fact, folding down the rear seats gives you 52.7 cubic feet. The Magic Seat and center-mounted fuel tank help the Honda achieve these class-leading figures. Impressively enough, rear passengers get 39.3 inches of legroom, and the passenger volume is 95.7 cubic feet, both high numbers for the class. In fact, the Honda Fit has more legroom than the average midsize sedan.
Highly Efficient Honda Fit
Because of its small size and smart design, the Honda Fit gets great fuel economy. Going with the manual transmission delivers 29* mpg city, 36* on the highway, and 32* combined. If you get the LX trim and the CVT, these figures increase to 33*, 40*, and 36*, respectively. The EX and EX-L with the CVT get 32*, 37*, and 34* mpg.
Honda Fit Safety
Throughout its history, Honda has clearly made the Fit incredibly safe. It has earned a 5-Star Overall Safety Rating from the NHTSA and comes standard with side curtain airbags, a rollover sensor, traction control, Vehicle Stability Assist, Electronic Brake Distribution, the next-generation Advanced Compatibility Engineering body structure, and Brake Assist. It even has a multi-angle rearview camera featuring guidelines on all trims. In addition, all but the base model has Honda LaneWatch.
