Located in the heart of Greenville, Uptown Brewing is housed in a beautifully restored historic building on Evans Street. The brewery produces several seasonal beers plus some year-round favorites. In addition, Uptown Brewing also serves gluten-free cider, nitro pours and rotating small batches.

Year-round offerings at Uptown Brewing include IPA, Coffee Porter, Pale Ale, Apricot Wheat, Cider, Ginger Beer, and the famous Billy Beer. Billy Beer is an American light lager that serves as the brewery’s signature “Beer for the People.” While some craft beer aficionados turn their nose up at the idea of a light beer, it was the brainchild of brewery founder Billy Dunn.
Billy wanted a well-made light beer that he and his friends could enjoy at football tailgates and on the golf course. The founders considered making Billy Beer an off-menu option, but after sampling it, many tasters expressed their love for it. Thus, the legend of the craft light beer was born.
In addition to year-round offerings like Billy Beer, there’s also a seasonal selection that has included choices in the past like Belgian Dubbel, Russian Imperial Stout, and Cerveza. Cerveza is especially popular during the summer months due to its light, crisp character.
Keep Beer Fresher For Longer in Growlers
Uptown Brewing was the first establishment in Pitt County to offer growler fills. Growlers keep beer fresher for longer than a traditional growler. Uptown Brewing provides growlers and will fill them with your choice of brew, and then run them through a machine that will seal them up for maximum freshness/longevity.
No Kitchen? No Problem
While Uptown Brewing doesn’t have a kitchen or serve food, the brewery has partnered up with several local restaurants who will deliver food to the brewery at no charge! That means you can not only quench your thirst but satisfy your hunger with a visit to Uptown Brewing.

Uptown Brewing is located at 418 Evans Street, Greenville, NC 27858. The brewery is open Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 2:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M.; Thursdays and Fridays from 2:00 P.M. to 12:00 A.M.; Saturdays 12:00 P.M. to 12:00 A.M.; and on Sundays from 1:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
