The Segments
Greenville’s Greenways is made up of five segments. The South Tar River Greenway is probably the most popular of the segments. It’s 3.2 miles long, and it runs right next to the Tar River. The trail is full of gorgeous views, so bring your camera along. The South Tar River Greenway is usually pretty busy, so you’ll feel safe as you walk along it.
The Stadium Greenway is also a popular trail. It’s only 0.57 miles long, but people love it because it goes right next to Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium. Hit the greenway the next time you go to the stadium to cheer on the Pirates. After you stretch your legs, you’ll be ready to sit in the stadium for a few hours.
Hit a Park
You don’t have to stop your outdoor adventure when your walk is over. Greenville’s Greenways are also connected to parks, so you can stop along the way. Hit up Elm Street Park, Green Springs Park, or Town Commons Park during your outdoor adventure. Be sure to bring a picnic lunch with you, as well. You’ll enjoy eating some lunch after you spend your morning walking.
Of course, if you don’t want to eat at the park, you can stop at one of the picnic benches located along the greenways. You have tons of options when you walk the greenways.

What About Fido?
