The Ayden Collard Festival returns to Ayden, North Carolina from September 7th-10th! This annual event features pageants, parades, art shows, collard green eating/cooking, music, rides, and other attractions. The city of Ayden puts on an incredible festival every year and you won’t want to miss out on these special events:
Thursday, September 7, 2017 – Opening Day of the Festival
Celebrate the official opening day of the festival with $20.00 wristband night and enjoy all the exciting rides you can fit into one night! This will also be the night of the Miss Ayden pageant which will be held starting at 7 p.m. on the West Avenue stage. There will also be free balloon art from Purple the Clown for the kids!
Friday, September 8, 2017 – Day 2 of the Ayden Collard Festival
Rides and vendors will open at 6 p.m. on West Avenue along with the Shimmy Shakers Line Dancers on the West Avenue Stage. Musical acts Trenice Atkinson and Fantasy Band will follow at 7:00 p.m. and 8 p.m. on the West Avenue Stage.
Saturday, September 9, 2017 – Super Saturday of the Festival
Get ready for a full day of fun at the Ayden Collard Festival. All rides and vendors will open at 9 a.m. and there will be tons of entertainment and events throughout the day including the official parade at 11 a.m., corn hole tournament at 1:30 p.m., and collard eating contest at 2:00 p.m. For a complete listing of all the Saturday activities, check out the full Saturday schedule online.
Sunday, September 10, 2017 – Closing Day of the Festival
The final day of the Ayden Collard Festival marks your last chance to check out local artist submissions at the Ayden Community Building from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. All artists will need to pick up their works from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Ayden Community Building.
