The 2019 Accord continues to excel in all the right ways. Taking its cue from the sweeping success of the 2018 model, the 2019 Accord simply keeps all the good things going. The most notable change between the 2018 and 2019 Accord models is that the previous model year’s base engine was discontinued in the top trim level.
Engine Options
The 2018 Accord’s base engine is a 1.5L 4-cylinder that generates 192 horsepower. For a power boost, there is also an available 252-horsepower 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder. Both of these engines come standard with a continuously variable transmission for improved fuel efficiency. A 10-speed automatic and 6-speed manual transmission are also available.
For 2019, the Accord retains its solid powertrain offerings. In the range-topping Touring trim, however, the 252-horsepower turbo-4 is the standard powerplant. Here, it is mated to the smooth-shifting 10-speed automatic transmission.
